Getting Started

What does Luma actually do?

Luma is an AI copilot for meetings. Before each meeting, you tell Luma what you're trying to accomplish. During the meeting, Luma listens, transcribes on your device, and suggests questions to ask at the right moments. After the meeting, you get a clean summary, action items, and a short comprehension quiz.

Do I need to set up anything before my first meeting?

Just two things: grant microphone permission when prompted, and create an account. The onboarding flow walks you through it.

Does Luma work on iPad or Mac?

Luma is iPhone-only at launch. iPad and Android are on the roadmap.

Troubleshooting

Luma isn't picking up the meeting audio

  • Open Settings → Luma → Microphone on your iPhone and confirm access is enabled.
  • Make sure your phone is positioned close enough to the meeting audio (within ~6 feet).
  • If you're on a video call, the audio comes through the phone's mic — not directly from the call audio. Put the call on speaker so the mic can hear it.

Suggestion cards aren't appearing during the meeting

Luma is intentionally selective — it only surfaces a suggestion when it has something genuinely worth saying. Most meetings produce 2–4 cards. If you've gone more than 5 minutes with no cards and there's been active conversation, email us with the meeting time and we'll investigate.

The summary or quiz didn't generate after my meeting

Tap "End meeting" before closing the app — otherwise the meeting stays open and the summary won't run. If you ended properly and still see no summary after 30 seconds, contact support with the meeting title and approximate end time.

I'm not getting notifications

Open Settings → Notifications → Luma on your iPhone and confirm notifications are allowed. Local notifications fire when Luma surfaces a new suggestion mid-meeting.

Account & Billing

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID. To manage or cancel:

  • Open the Settings app on your iPhone
  • Tap your name at the top
  • Tap Subscriptions
  • Find Luma and choose Manage or Cancel

Or open apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions directly. We don't store your payment info — Apple handles all billing.

Can I switch between Pro and Power?

Yes. Open Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Luma and pick the other tier. Apple prorates the change automatically.

How do refunds work?

Refunds are handled by Apple, not Luma. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Luma charge, and request a refund. If Apple needs us to confirm something, email us at support@lumameetings.com.

How do I delete my account and data?

Email support@lumameetings.com from the address tied to your Luma account with the subject "Delete my account." We'll confirm and permanently delete your meetings, transcripts, and profile within 7 business days. Cancel your subscription separately in the Apple Settings flow above.

Privacy & Data

Where is my meeting audio stored?

It isn't. Transcription happens on your device using Apple's Speech Recognition, and only short transcript snippets are sent to our backend to generate suggestions and summaries. The audio itself is never uploaded or stored anywhere.

Can I export my meeting data?

Yes. Email support with your account email and we'll send you a JSON export of your meetings, transcripts, and summaries within a few business days.

Where can I read your full privacy policy?

See our Privacy Policy for the full details on data collection, storage, and your rights.
